Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord

On 20-2-2015 we visited this nice park. It was a grey day and eventually we had to counter some rain. Still it was impressive and i want to visit it again with my tripod and more gear to do some more photography.

All info is here: Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord

Below a photo series of this visit, not as big as the MBI Beton series but still 50 shots.

Some tech info. All shots with my Sony A7R with the 24-70 f4 or using a metabones nikon f/g to FE adapter with a Nikkor 50mm AI F2 mounted.

Hope you enjoyed!

The Gardens on Superia Xtra 400.

Back with more analogue.  All images shot with my Nikon F3, 50mm f2 ai-s on SuperiaXtra 400 asa expired 2-2011. I used the DW-3 waist level finder. Nice slow down photography using this kind off focusing and i am happy with the results. It was difficult to get accurate focus but almost every shot was a hit, maybe because i really took the time for the composition end the focusing. Shots are all taken at The Gardens of Life in Teuge, The Netherlands. Enjoy!

Berlin, Prenzlauerberg on Kodak Ektar 100 asa

The last day of our may Berlin trip. We visited Prenzlauerberg. I decided only to shoot analogue and filled my F100 with Kodak Ektar 100 asa expired 10-2011. Here are the results of that day.

Techstuff; Nikon F100, Nikkor 50mm 1.4 g AF-S, Kodak Ektar 100 asa Expired 10-2011, Coolscan LS-40, Photoshop.

Teufelsberg and Hohenschönhausen on Kodak TMax 400.

As promised in my last post, here is the second roll of film. Started at Teufelsberg and finished at Hohenschönhausen. Teufelsberg is an old NATO station used by the americans to listen to the east. Hohenschönhausen is the reason why perhaps? An old Stasi prison which is now a memorial place. The only portrait in the serie is our guide who has been imprisoned there.

Techstuff; Nikon F100, Nikkor 50mm 1.4 g AF-S, Kodak Tmax 400 asa Expired 5-2013, Coolscan LS-40, Photoshop.

Beelitz-Heilstätten (Berlin Brandeburg) on Portra 400 NC very expired.

This may we went on holiday to Berlin. We started of with Film Hotel Lily Marleen in Potsdam on the 18th. Potsdam we wanted to see because the trip before we just saw Sans Souci. Potsdam was ok but not great. But…..Before we came to Potsdam we stopped at Beelitz-Heilstätten for a nice urbex adventure, wich it became! I brought my just bought Olympus E-M10 but also being the the only Nikon gear my F100+50mm 1.4g AF-S. The film was expired unfortunately very expired. I had a lot of work in Photoshop adjusting the scans, but here is the whole series of that filmroll. Hope you can enjoy anyway! I filled 2 more rolls wich i will post soon.

Techstuff; Nikon F100, Nikkor 50mm 1.4 g AF-S, Kodak Portra 400 nc Expired(no clue but not great film no more), Coolscan LS-40, Photoshop.

Nikomat, love it!

Nikomat FT2 + Nikkor 50mm 1:2. This gear is a gift, a great gift. What a fun machine to work with. Also i am pleasantly surprised with the lens. If you have read my previous post about the F3, for the pictures and the feeling about these counts as the same. This is what i see around me and for me it’s fun to do, maybe it’s not that interesting for you as a reader, but as some info and performance of gear and film it might be usefull.

Techstuff: Nikomat FT2, Nikkor 50mm 1:2, Fuji Superia Xtra 400 asa expired 2-2012, Coolscan LS-40, Nikon San 4.03 12 bit default ice fine, Photoshop CC for color correction and some little tweaks like sharpening. Bordermaker was used for the white border and sig.

Autumn…

Leaves, colorfull and ready to become obsolete are great subjects for photography. Every year i look for them again. I love the colors that appear in autumn a lot! All shot with the 50 1.4 on my D90. LR 5.2 was used to develop the raw files.

Ilford….

In this post some b&w. It’s Ilford HP5 Plus 400 asa, expired 7-2012. Random shots as you can see. I used my Nikon F100 with my 50mm 1.4g attached. Hema developed the negatives and my Coolscan LS-40 made the scans. Photoshop CS6 was used to remove spots, no further post processing done here. Just added a border. I like the sharpness and the grain.

Currently there is a roll of Kodak 400 tri-x in the F100. Though doubts about continuing using analogue is in my mind again……

Canon AV-1 fun!

I got a Canon AV-1 with 50mm 1.8 on loan/to keep to play with. Filled her with expired Tmax 400 asa Pro. Shot with it her around the house and walking the dog. The Tmax was just over 12 years old but i exposed as 400 asa, better to compensate with the next roll(have more of this Tmax, expose as asa 200 is the idea). All photo’s were under exposed. I made the best out of these using PS CS6. No sharpening of noise reduction just levels and brightness processed. I love this little camera, it works easy and is comfortable to take with me. Gonna try another roll of film, maybe flip on the 28mm 2.8 Tokina that came along with it to.

I want to ride…

Bicycles, a dutch thing? For one it are great objects for photography. These are in my garage. Details shots taken with my D90 and 50mm 1.4g af-s. All post processing is done using Lightroom 4. I almost never use CaptureNX anymore. Lightroom i like! Hope you enjoy these shots!

I have received a lot of new stuff, some new camera’s and film etc, previous post is with elitechrome i got. Now 3 new slr’s bodies with m42 mount. The Petri TTl seems the screwmount is bad, but the Mamiya MSX 500 seems in working order and curently filling a roll Kodak color gold 200 asa with it. Lens is my 29mm 1:2.8 pentacon. The Revueflex SD-1 seems in working order to but don’t want to many camera’s filled with film at once!

Well till next post!
