Another series shot during my stay in London for the concert of The Cure. Camden Town was mostly sunny that sunday, so we were out and about walking around. Shot a lot of photographs there. Here a serie of static stuff and a few views. All shot with the Olympus E-P1 and the m.zuiko 45mm 1.8.
…at The Royal Albert Hall, 29-3-2014. Teenage Cancer Trust concerts.
28th of march we went to London. The Cure was performing at the ”Teenage cancer trust” concert at the Royal Albert Hall, we had tickets for the 29th. Decided we would make a long weekend from this trip. Sunday we went to Camden Town. I tried to do some ‘street photography’ during shopping. The E-P1 and 45mm 1.8 seemed perfect for that!
The Cure was great, London felt like summer, 3 days almost 20 degrees and our mood was good. A trip to remember. Ik will show more from this trip in an next post as a different serie.
I have been at this ‘urbex/rural’ location before, Always wanted to go back. This evening it was darker as i hoped around the Hotel so had to do with iso 1600. The decision to make an B&W with toning came up in 3 seconds. So home again i loaded the files on my pc and started editing. Made a preset in Silver efex 2 wich i liked. I have shown a few of the serie on my Flickr account shortly after the visit, now decided to share all on my blog for you to see.
Lot’s of stories about ghost’s can be found on the internet, funny it is that we both felt like being watched shooting this series of photo’s, even the dog seemd spooked. You tell me how does that happen, because one reads about ghost’s and your mind plays with you, or………Anyways i do like my photo’s. Did manipulate some of them because the graffiti contained pure racistic and fascistic signs or remarks wich i really don’t agree with.
Used my Nikon D90 with 35mm 1.8dx.
I got a Canon AV-1 with 50mm 1.8 on loan/to keep to play with. Filled her with expired Tmax 400 asa Pro. Shot with it her around the house and walking the dog. The Tmax was just over 12 years old but i exposed as 400 asa, better to compensate with the next roll(have more of this Tmax, expose as asa 200 is the idea). All photo’s were under exposed. I made the best out of these using PS CS6. No sharpening of noise reduction just levels and brightness processed. I love this little camera, it works easy and is comfortable to take with me. Gonna try another roll of film, maybe flip on the 28mm 2.8 Tokina that came along with it to.
