Atatürk International Airport

In 2011 we went for a city trip to Istanbul. What to do when waiting for your flight at the airport? Well i didn’t want to atract to much attention so took my Phone, a HTC Desire HD on wich i installed some photgraphy apps, including Retrocamera+. Polaroid preset, color and black and white. here a few shots. Somehow i like these, they look terrible hahaha…..

Gardens of Life

Near the small village ‘Teuge’ wich is famous for it’s airport there are model gardens. In dutch ‘de Levenstuinen van het Groot Hontschoten’ roughly transelated ‘the Gardens of Life’
My mother is a volunteer there, the place is run by one owner, supported by a bunch of volunteers. I recommend you to visit the website for info about these gardens. After that, please give them a visit!

I love to go there and take pictures. Here a collection of the last visit. All shot on Kodak Portra 160nc with my Nikon F100 mounted with a Kiron 105mm 1:2.8. The Hema developed the negatives, the scanning part is done by me. I post processed the scans with Photoshop and converted a few to black and white(both versions in this set).

At work, probing the ground below our house.

Monday the 24 september the first work for the big job. Probing the ground beneath our house. A very kind man allowed me and gave me enough space to document this. Here a small selection of this morning.

Shots taken with my Nikon D90 and 35mm 1.8dx. Processed using CaptureNX 2.

Leica is a big name in the world of Photography. I once owned a C1, but after filling 1 roll of film i decided to sell it because i really missed manual options. Later on i came across this Digilux1.
I was the lucky buyer. The seller even had the package as he bought it, including a 64mb sd card!

I really like this camera. It is 4 megapixel and has 2 dead pixels but it really show quality, Leica quality perhaps. I am sure shots made with this ”big” compact will appear on this blog someday. For now pictures showing it.
All shot at close range with long exposure on my desk, not much light here during the shoot. Shots made with my Olympus Pen EP-1 and 14-42 lens. All wide open at 42mm and post processing to black and white and heavy colors using Photoshop and Camera Raw(for the colored versions).

First post contains a random selection of one of my last rolls of film i filled. All are shot when i was out walking the dog. This is in my neighbourhood, Apeldoorn ‘Brummelhof’

All taken with the Nikon F100 with a Vivitar 70-150mm 1:3.8 2 ring version mounted. Used film is a 1 month over date Fuji Superia xtra 400 asa. Film is developed by HEMA and digitized using my Nikon Coolscan LS-40 using Nikon Scan 4.03 at defalut settings and ice. I used Photoshop to post process the scans.

Enjoy watching.
